We are working to improve the site in various ways. The play area has not proved successful and we are going to make better use of the space by turing it into a general public area. A smaller play area will be laid out alongside planted beds, seating and a barbecue/fire pit.
The area between the fence and the Dutch barn will be turned into a wildlife area. This design will be developed to take into account the cabin.
The other beds alongside the road will be improved by planting with native shrubs and fruit bushes to provide a usable resource, improve biodiversity and act as windbreaks.
